1. Natural Characteristics of Leather
IMPORTANT: Leather is a natural and non-uniform raw material that carries the unique characteristics and history of each hide. As such, it may present natural markings, variations in tone, texture, and slight differences between pieces — all of which are part of the authenticity and uniqueness of each item.
These natural characteristics are not considered defects, but rather an integral part of the beauty and genuineness of vegetable-tanned leather goods. Each piece is one of a kind.
Returns or complaints based on the following will not be accepted:
- Natural variations in leather colour and tone
- Natural markings, scars, or veining of the hide
- Minor differences in texture or grain
- Slight asymmetries inherent to handcrafted work
2. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason and without incurring any costs beyond those set out in this policy.
The 14-day period begins on the day you or a third party designated by you takes physical possession of the products.
3. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
Under applicable legislation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Personalised or made-to-order products manufactured according to the customer's specifications
- Products that have been unsealed after delivery for hygiene or health protection reasons
- Products that cannot be returned for hygiene or health reasons

5. Return Conditions
Products must be returned:
- In their original condition, with no signs of use
- With all original labels and packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
6. Return Costs
The direct costs of returning products are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return results from an error by Couragem Leather Studio or a defective product.
7. Refund
Upon receipt and inspection of the returned products, we will refund all amounts paid, including the original shipping costs (except for any additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard option offered).
The refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
8. Defective or Non-Conforming Products
If you receive a product with a manufacturing defect or one that does not match your order, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. In such cases, Couragem Leather Studio will cover all return costs and proceed with a replacement or full refund.
Manufacturing defects do not include the natural characteristics of leather described in section 1.
9. Legal Guarantee
All products benefit from the 2-year legal guarantee covering conformity defects existing at the time of delivery, in accordance with applicable EU consumer law.
