Couragem Guarantee

At Couragem, every piece is made by hand with care and precision. We stand by the quality of our pieces and are committed to resolving any problem related to manufacturing defects.

Guarantee coverage

All Couragem pieces have the 3-year legal guarantee (Portuguese Decree-Law no. 84/2021), from the date of delivery.

The guarantee covers:
• Stitching or assembly defects
• Faulty hardware and metal fittings
• Structural problems caused by a manufacturing error
• Defects in the materials used

What is not covered

The guarantee does not cover:
• Natural wear from normal use
• Damage caused by improper or careless use
• Exposure to extreme conditions (excessive moisture, heat, chemicals)
• Alterations or repairs made by third parties
• Natural features of the leather (variations in tone, natural marks, patina)
• Stains or damage caused by contact with liquids, perfumes or other products

How to make a guarantee claim

If you find a manufacturing defect in your Couragem piece:

1. Contact us at hello@couragem.com or on the online chat
2. Send photos that clearly show the problem
3. Give us your order number or proof of purchase
4. Wait for our assessment – we reply within 24-48 working hours

Resolution

Once we confirm the defect is covered by the guarantee, we offer:

• Repair of the piece in our atelier (free of charge)
• Replacement with a new piece, if repair is not possible
• Full refund, in exceptional cases where repair and replacement are not possible

Shipping costs for repairs or replacements under the guarantee are paid by Couragem.
